Court Monitor Chicago District Council
Steve Miller,Esq:
Mark Hersh, Esq
Dear Steve:
In view of the firing yesterday, October 12, 2000, of the first Black field Rep,
Reggie Robinson, by Randy Dalton,
I thought you might want to monitor the continuing unlawful, unethical,
undemocratic behavior of LIUNA officials.
Dalton told Robinson, a clean cut, articulate, well groomed field rep who
assisted Ed Sadlowski in filing grievances against National Power Rodding that
he would be replaced by someone more competent
.
In view of the perceived belief that local 2 will have its election as soon as
possible based on Luskin's representations to me and the members, the firing of
Robinson was unnecessary. The newly elected business manger of local 2 will pick
field reps for local 2. This firing provides Dalton and his District Council
cronies and allies, (Bloch, Connolly, Riley) with an opportunity to insert their
lackey into local 2 to enhance his electoral prospects. This is another reason
why you should obtain a court order to prevent the granting of variances by
LIUNA's general president to allow someone without 2 years continuous good
standing to be eligible to run for office.
Salerno is now a member in good standing in local 152. I predict that he will
replace Divilbiss on the executive board and because he was requested to go into
local 225 to assist Burns and was eventually made trustee in the game of musical
chairs, he will be granted a variance to be eligible to run for office. For the
umpteenth time, Ronny Fino told me that Mike Lazzaretto would be "Coia's
point man" to take over control of the Chicago Pension fund. Salerno and
Lazzaretto are now bosom buddies. If elected in 225, Salerno would have
supported Lazzaretto in 2003 is my contention.
Below is my first negotiation with Luskin on obtaining an early election in
local 2. If you don't have an early election in local 2, Terrance Healy, and
friends of Matassa will have a better chance of electing their stooges in local
2. You might also be able to monitor a "race war" in Chicago.
Please quit monitoring and start prosecuting! The blacks want off the plantation
and want their fair distribution of power and influence. I support their goals
of JUSTICE.
