Stop !!

Don’t throw this away. It is very important that you take notice of the current situation at Labors local 1076 ! This may be the most important 10 minutes you have wasted this week. I am also guilty of discarding these communication, as junk mail !!!

For the past 25 years, I have ignored a very important factor in my career. It has come to my attention that we the members of local 1076 have no voice or choice, in how our organization is being “ operated “. When I was a young man, I didn’t take the time to notice what was happening. I was to busy trying to raise a family, buy a house, and keep one step ahead of all the things that controlled my life. I didn’t think I had to worry about my union; they were the ones that were supposed to be looking out for me! Now that I am older and not so caught up in the rat race, I have come to realize my union is not really acting in the best interests of it members. Young or old! The members of a union organization are supposed to have control of their officials that are representing them. Not the officials, having control of the membership! I will say it again! We the members of Labors local 1076 have no Voice, Choice or Control over the administration of our union and future!

( It is time to take control ! )

After all, this is your union, and your future! Although you may think you have no control over it, you are very wrong! “ We! … The Members of Local 1076 “ should take action in reclaiming our organization and control of our future, and our officials who represent us. We were given a chance for the first time this year to elect the delegates to the convention, where the Laborers Constitution and Bylaws are determined. The International granted us this oppratunity, after one brave member stood up for all of us. The only problem! Our officials did not explain this new ruling. Therefore, all the delegates have been appointed by the current administration, not the people! As you know! (Appointed people do and say exactly what their appointee wants them to say and do.)

This is the year to make a difference in your future! Get a Choice, use your Voice, and take Control of the people who are in control of your career and lively hood! Send some new blood to this year convention, not a group of individuals that were nominated by one controlling man. Make your union a Democracy, not a Dictatorship!!
