Dear Mr. Guerrieri:
Will you please consider notifying local unions to include the name and address and phone number of the contractor for job sites that will be provided to candidates for office. Members are asking me if they can obtain from the Local union a list of contractors that are signatory to local 2's collective bargaining agreements so they can contact union members at the companies' yards and have a list of potential future employers. I tell them that under law, the local has to give them a copy of any collective bargaining agreement . They then ask me if they can obtain as information relevant in the context of an election copies of all collective bargaining agreements that the local is signatory to.
Will you please give me some guidance as to how I should answer these questions. They are also asking me if they can make an appointment to review minutes of the local union's executive board and union meetings. I tell them they can do this and would appreciate your confirmation that this policy would assist your goal of having free, fair, honest, and informed elections.
