“Confined space” means an environment which by design or construction has limited openings for entry and egress, has unfavorable natural ventilation, could reasonably be believed by the employer to have dangerous air contaminants or contain material which may produce dangerous air contaminants, and is not intended for human occupancy. Confined spaces include, but are not limited to, storage tanks, compartments of ships, process vessels, pits, silos, vats, degreasers, reaction vessels, boilers, ventilation and exhaust ducts, manholes, sewers, tunnels, underground utility vaults, and pipelines, but do not include heating system tunnels and vaults.

I would like to
thank Joe Romano for going through with the idea of a jacket being given to a member who had paid up their quarter dues for the year. Joe also imposed a jacket being given out to members who attend 12 straight local 2 meetings. By attending 8 meetings out of the year you will receive a sweatshirt. So if you weren’t able to pay your quarter dues for the year, come to the meetings to find out what new things are happening with the local.
Remember if you paid your quarter dues (on or before June 1, 2000) for the year, vouchers are issued for you to receive a jacket. You must come to the office at 6607 W. Archer, Chicago to pick up your voucher. Then go to one of the two Working Gear stores to receive your jacket.
