• Platform of Local 2 Coalition Slate, a slate composed of rank and file from the tunnel, open cut, underground workers-laborers that are employed by and work for private companies as opposed to Caravetta's  Slate, a/k/a The organized crime slate" It is composed of  political appointees who are beholden to the Cook County Democratic party, whose chairman is Schipper's cousin. Caravetta is a supervisor at the Cook County Jail, 26th and California, where he probably recruits candidates like Bates

See PDF file  Kenny Bates, the convicted murder, got out of prison in 1997, 9 years too late to be eligible for union office in 2001. Kenny nominated the auditors for Caravetta's slate and CrimeDawg  is now checking for embezzlement convictions.

• Local 2 "Coalition Slate" members fight for members and challenge Organized Crime boss Matassa and lack of union democracy on May 11, 1999-the night "union democracy" was born in local 2. PDF File of  meeting minutes.
• Election Officer rules Reggie Robinson, who admits to being an inexperienced laborer, eligible to run with Caravetta and the auditors nominated by Caravetta's ex-felon candidate for executive board.
