COALITION OF LABOR UNION WOMEN

Graphics (p.1-13)

On March 5th a group of Local 5 women, along with Joe Romano, attended a dinner sponsored by the Coalition of Labor Union Women (C.L.U.W) Their honorary guest speaker was the AFL-CIO Regional Director Mary Crayton. She gave a very interesting speech. It wasn't about just women or laborers, but about all workers bettering their lives through unions.

After the dinner we introduced our-selves and our local to the group. We were then invited to attend the Working Women Conference 2000 at the Hyatt Regency. It was a very nice evening.

I encourage everyone to participate in all union events. It can only better ourselves and our local union to-become involved.
