I am closely monitoring the attempts of barred individuals to organize a "puppet slate" to run in local 1001's eventual election. While i have heard rumors to the effect that Bruno Caruso , Frank Caruso, and Nicholas Gironda would utilize Robert Chianelli as their vehicle, I do not have any hard evidence to report. I am in contact with aldermen, ward committeemen, Chicago police personnel and others to detect any corruption or meetings with barred personnel and will report whatever I learn. As I told GEB attorney  Bob Thomas , the appointment by Steve Hammond of Chianelli was an imprudent decision that I consider a breach of his fiduciary duty to eliminate organized crime influence in local 1001. Be safe rather than sorry is my motto. I resent the fact that all members of local 1001 were not notified via a  mailing that new business agents and stewards would be appointed, that resumes would be accepted, and that new hires would be based on integrity, aptitude, intelligence and adherence to the principles of trade unionism. Not all members were treated equally.

The GEB attorney's office does a fine job prosecuting corruption. It fails miserably in its appointments of trustees and supervisors.
